A good way to Realize Successful Modify
Here is one way to help you realize successful modify as a leader.
Replace some thing with something better.
That could sound overly simplified or it might actually sound trite. Yet I’ ve used it dozens of times to lead change successfully.
Too many times as frontrunners we fail to assist individuals through the pain of change. A major problem along with change is individuals fear losing something they’ ve produced to value. Almost always there is a sense of loss with change, which affects people emotionally. Something they’ ve developed comfortable with in their life or something they like is going away.
One way after that to realize successful change is to replace the thing your own changing with something they’ ll love even more.
Here’ s an example. Several years ago, we wanted to do something with our antiquated, seldom-used library that will stayed locked more often than not. It occupied an enormous and valuable sq . footage in our church on a major hallway. We knew it would be controversial (libraries, choir robes and parlors often are). Therefore , instead of doing away with this, we created what we should called a “ Sending Center”. This still had some books – mainly for children, yet we added a small bookstore, coffee bar with tables plus chairs, information about missions and discipleship. We all cut a huge opening in the wall, therefore it was always accessible. It became a center for fellowship, meetings, and fun.
We replaced some thing with something better.
Granted, you can’ t do this each time. Sometimes you just have to let things go. And even with this guideline it does mean change will be easy and you’ ll still need good leadership. But , when possible, provide them with something better instead of nothing at all. You’ lmost all help people better accept the change extensive and help create a culture more conducive to change.
