The Prayer for a Wanderer
A couple of weeks ago I stated that I have become a significant fan of Kathleen Nielson’s new group of prayer books meant for parents. Through four short volumes the lady provides prayers intended for parents of young kids, of teens, of young adults, and of mature children. Last time I shared “ A Parent’s Prayer for an Unbelieving Child” from the book about parenting young adults and this time wanted to talk about “ A Plea for a Wanderer” from your book about parenting adult children. I believe many will find that it gives them words to express the worries and desires of their hearts.
Lord God, I do not understand and cannot observe her heart, yet all her actions appear to turn far from you, away from gentle and life found in your Son.
I know, Master, that you see in to the darkest heart; your perfect wisdom lays out all our paths. Please switch her feet and move her heart toward you, toward lifetime in Christ, I actually pray.
I do not understand just how you might ordain to call her in order to yourself to find endless life and life abundant, through believing inside your Son.
I know that you have provided your breathed-out Phrase, the writings that can make us smart for salvation as all of us believe that Jesus could be the Christ, the Boy of God, the living Word made flesh to save us. Please, by your Nature and your people, speak your Word associated with life into her heart, I pray.
I do not know the ways in which her story will unfold, or just how your perfect reasons will guide her path.
I know with grateful heart that you have sent your Son to give us life. I am aware you, Lord, plus live in you. I actually trust in you, even as I daily request, please lead the girl to believe in Christ your Son, I pray.
