“Give attention to my words. ” –Proverbs 4: 20 (NKJV)

With this week’s BVOV transmit, Jeremy Pearsons shares how being fast to respond is critical to receiving from God. In Mark 9: 17-27, we observe that a demon-possessed child was delivered since the father was fast to respond and believe that Jesus would toss that spirit away from him.

On the other hand, in Mark 3 or more, when Jesus asked the Pharisees regardless of whether it was good in order to heal on the Sabbath, they did not respond. The Scripture says this saddened Christ because He knew it was due to their hardened hearts.

In case your story hasn’t already been going the way you’d like, it’s time for you to take a look at the state of the heart and how you are responding to the Word of God. You want to be like the father of the demon-possessed boy, quick to reply in faith to what Jesus says

When you don’t respond to God’s Word, like the Pharisees, it’s an indicator that you have a hard coronary heart.

You may not feel as if you have hard locations in your heart, but if you aren’t receiving, you’ll want to dig much deeper. Hardness of center can be caused by unforgiveness, hurt and disappointment from not having received; a spirit of rejection; pride; or fear of being disappointed, just to name a couple of.

If you want to edit your story and change your life, don’t be reluctant, don’t think this over—determine to be fast to respond to God’s Word. Don’t dread disappointment. Don’t question it or assess it next to your present circumstances. When you listen to the Word, be quick to respond in faith.

“Immediately the father of the son cried out and said with holes, ‘Lord I believe; assist my unbelief! ’” –Mark 9: twenty-four (NKJV)

If your life tale is failing to produce something promised within God’s Word, it is time to go back to the Word—the whole Phrase. That’s because, as Jeremy Pearsons states, “There’s nothing wrong with the seed (the Word of God). It’s time to look into the condition of the surface, ” which is your own heart. The seeds to be healed, for instance , comes from promises in God’s Word, and people are good, uncorruptible seed products. If healing does not come, it isn’t because of the seed.

It may feel like you are believing God’s Term regarding your situation, yet a hardened coronary heart is something that you can not necessarily feel. This happens over time. What are some of the signs of the hardened heart? They are:

  • Be concerned, fear, insecurity, anxiousness
  • Searching for fault with others
  • Dull, unfeeling or unresponsive
  • Endeavoring to solve your own troubles
  • Gradual to believe God’s Word.

Your heart can even turn out to be calloused because you haven’t received what you’ve been believing regarding, so you stop thinking to avoid further disappointment. You can get to that place without even understanding it. But consider heart! You can get back to a tenderhearted state—a place where you are fast to believe.

It takes work, and it usually isn’t pleasant to handle the hard places that have developed. But in order to rewrite your story, you’ve got to till the ground of your heart by being quick to trust. As you likely already know, that doesn’t arrive naturally. There is work involved in developing a heart of flesh that receives the seeds with gladness plus carries it to full development.

Don’t get captured in the trap of believing that only the devil could be to blame for your situation. Ask God to show the hardened places in your heart and how you are able to soften them. Then, determine to become a person who is quick to believe again.
