guest write-up by Trillia Newbell

M con daughter is captivated by outer space. She loves to try to find constellations such as the Big Dipper and gets excited whenever there’s a full celestial satellite. The universe is usually massive and varied. That means it’s large and filled with a variety of objects. There are superstars and moons plus planets and black holes and a couple of other stuff I can’t even imagine!

When you look up at the sky, so what do you think about?

Looking up on the sky reminds myself of Psalm eight: 3–4:

While i consider your heavens, the work of your fingers,

the moon and the stars, which you have set in place,

what is mankind you are mindful of them, humans that you care for all of them? (NIV)

At the beginning of time, The almighty created the heavens. He set it all in place. He considered the idea of Mars—the planet that’s also called the particular red planet. The almighty created the celestial satellite that shines bright in the night. Lord created stars that appear to twinkle. God created the sun that will warms the earth throughout the year. Our god did all of this.

Maybe you have created something from the beginning? It’s hard to produce from nothing (only God can do that will! ). Whether it is drawing a picture or even writing a story, generating is a lot of work. Because God is usually powerful and full of knowledge, I don’t believe it was hard just for God to create the entire world, but it was a lots of work.

And He kept creating.

He made water that would protect the earth—oceans, streams, and lakes. This individual created land along with mountains and valleys and deserts plus plains. And He made sure the land acquired plants and flowers and trees and shrubs. And He didn’t produce just one type of plant or flower or tree; there are thousands of different types!

And He held creating.

God created animals, lots and lots of animals. He made the giraffe having an incredibly long neck of the guitar. And He created elephants with their massive trunks. He created lions, which are just really, really big cats. He created seafood in the sea, too many to number. He created every insect and bug—those that will slither on the ground and people that fly in the air.

Our god created all of these things, and the Bible tells us that when He has been done creating these items, He said at least three times that what He created was good. (Genesis 1: 10, 18, 25)

The almighty could have stopped developing. God was joyful and didn’t require anything. But the property needed to be taken care of, kind of like a farmer or perhaps a gardener cares for his or her land (Genesis two: 5). Because The almighty is good and kind, He decided to produce people to work the particular land and take care of the animals and start having children and families to fill the earth.

Maybe you’ve heard the story of Adam and Eve. God created Adam, the first man, out from the dust on the ground. Right after Adam was created, Lord placed him within a garden known as Eden. Eden had almost everything Adam needed for food and for living a good, long life. Eden had been beautiful. Adam have got to work caring for the particular land and all that God had provided him. But Adam needed some assist and couldn’t look after all the responsibility our creator gave him by himself.

So , God held creating.

God got one of Adam’s steak and crafted a female. When God has been finished, Adam was so happy! Adam and Eve had been the first man plus woman, and they had been also the first husband and wife. They enjoyed one another so much. They adored each other perfectly. They had so much fun in the Garden.

Our god wanted Adam plus Eve to take care of your garden of Eden so that it could grow and grow to become a lot more beautiful and huge. Eventually, the whole world was supposed to be such as the Garden of Eden. The whole earth would be filled up with God’s reality and beauty plus goodness. Even though God did not need anything, He didn’t want to do this special job by Himself.

That is why God do something very specific when He created humans. Adam and Eve were not like the other creatures He or she created. God made humans different from the particular animals. He produced them in His own image. That means you and I actually reflect different characteristics of God Themselves!

So God created human beings in His own picture, in the image of The almighty He created them; male and female He created all of them. (Genesis 1: twenty-seven niv)

The idea that you happen to be made in the image associated with God might be hard to understand, but it’s true.

Since The almighty made everything—the planet, the stars, the entire universe—He gets to maintain charge of everything.

God will be the King of all development. And when God produced us in His picture, He gave us the amazing task of being His partners in the special mission.

What’s Their special mission? God would like to fill the whole planet with His glory! This means that God desires the whole world to know and love all of Their perfect ways.

Everyone walking on this world and every person that actually lived is made to reveal God. Like a mirror displays our own image, we reflect the image of God to one another.

For example:

God is kind —you could be kind too.

God is certainly loving —you can be loving as well.

Our god is fair —you can be fair too.

God is forgiving —you could be forgiving too.

God is truthful —you can be truthful as well.

God is wise —you can be wise as well.

God is good you can do great too.

The almighty is all those things and much more, and we can be all those things too. That is how we reflect God.

Animals can be fun to play with or loveable or even soft, but they can’t really be truthful or forgiving or fair. Just we can be those activities. That’s what makes us a special part of God’s earth. We are not like other animals. We reveal God.

A friend of mine once published, “The Bible will not begin with the development of a special race of people. ”

You know what that means? Every person, from every background, no matter what their own skin color is or what they look like, no matter whether they can walk, operate, or crawl… everybody is made by Our god and every person is made equally. God doesn’t have favorites! Isn’t that such good news?

Our god made you. This individual loved making you.

God can make some people tall plus some people, like me, short. He makes some with lighter pores and skin. He makes many people with straight tresses and some people with frizzy hair. He makes many people with big eye and some people with little eyes. He makes some people with birthmarks and some people with freckles. He makes many people with different abilities. The almighty makes all sorts of people. God makes males and God can make girls. God made everything about you—you are wonderfully produced (Psalm 139: 14).

We are all important to Our god because He took time to create us. He is a great God!

We are all made in the image of God, so we all have got value and are important to God.

Understanding that God made you, your pals, your family, and every person you’ll ever meet should help you notice others as God sees you.

But as you probably know, all true stories have a beginning, the middle, and an end.

The creation of Adam and Eve is an excellent story. But it isn’t the conclusion of their story. What happened following is the reason why it is so hard for us to see each other the way we should.

Sometimes we don’t like each other. Sometimes we get angry. Occasionally we are mean. This really is all because of bad thing.

But God at all times had a plan to rescue us.

Let’s pause and really ponder what we should just read.

Trillia Newbell is the author associated with several books and Bible studies—some for adults (like If God Is perfect for Us and A Great Cloud associated with Witnesses ) and some for kids (like God’s Very Good Idea ). Trillia is in a good interracial marriage with her best friend, Thern, plus inspired by the enjoy she has for teaching her own biracial kids and those around the girl comes Creative God, Colorful Us, a section book for kids age groups 6-12 about God’s diverse creation and exactly how we can love one an additional.

If there’ h one book every single young family, every single church, needs right this moment, it’ s this. This book could literally modify a generation, replace the trajectory of our culture, change a whole globe of broken towards hope. Trillian Newbell is the voice in order to lead us and our families and am can’ t remember reading a children’ s book along with as much hunger as I read this one — for such a period as now. Creative God, Colorful All of us, is a colorful book (written with grade-schoolers in mind) that will shares the truth associated with God’s Word with them.

God could have made us all exactly the same, but He didn’t. And our distinctions are good! As His children, those called by God to belong to His household, we can actually use our differences to assist each other. Here is some more great news: There are no rules about how we appearance or sound to be in His family. We now have a delightfully different family on purpose. Every person is made by God, in His image, and therefore is identical in value and worth. Kids, somehow, already know this to be accurate.

The truth about how we were created using differences, how we sinned, how God preserved us, and how—if we understand that God’s diverse creation will be together in Heaven—it should motivate all of us to love one another on the planet!
